Daily Diet Online is a web-based subscription that turns a short questionnaire into a weekly meal plan, a shopping list and a workout plan. It gives a London address and is aimed at people who want help deciding what to cook each day and would rather not log every meal in detail. You can describe what you ate in plain words, take a photo, scan a barcode, or tap a button to copy yesterday's entries.
It's a software service rather than a shop, so there's nothing to deliver. Everything happens in your browser once you've signed up. An in-app coach called Marcus sends an evening reminder with a one-tap button for logging the day, and a weekly summary. The site says members' health data is encrypted and never sold to third parties.
What's worth a look
- The questionnaire and meal plan: you give your goals, food preferences, allergies and activity level, and the platform builds a plan of up to seven days with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Meals you don't fancy can be swapped. Starting the questionnaire is free.
- Recipe library: recipes sorted by diet type, meal, cooking time and cuisine, which you can browse on the site before signing up.
- Full plan: currently £5.99 a month on the UK homepage, or £59.88 a year if you pay annually. It adds unlimited meal and workout plans, photo logging, a pantry tool that suggests meals from what you already have, and a work mode that suggests food from nearby shops.
- My Gym: link the gym you use, from chains such as PureGym and The Gym Group to independents, and workouts are planned around that branch's equipment and your regular classes.
Prices can change, and the pricing page shows amounts in your local currency, so check the figure at checkout.
Current offers
- 7-day free trial: the homepage says you won't be billed until day 8, and you can cancel before then.
- Save 10% with annual billing: £59.88 a year rather than £5.99 a month.
How to save more
- Use the free trial to check the meal plans suit your tastes and cooking time before you pay anything.
- Only switch to annual billing once you're sure you'll keep using it. The homepage mentions a 30-day money-back guarantee, while the refund policy page describes a 14-day window for UK customers, so read the refund policy before paying for a year.
- Members get a referral link from their account that earns rewards when friends join.
Speak to your GP or pharmacist if you have any concerns about your health.
