Dean Morris Cards is a small greeting card publisher in Wolverhampton. Dean Morris set it up in 1999, selling handmade cards covered in sequins and glitter, and nearly every design in the range is still his own. The look mixes retro photographs with jokey captions, and the cards are also sold in independent shops and through distributors in Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands.

Be aware that a large part of the range is rude, sweary or both. That's the point for many buyers, but if you're shopping for a grandparent or a colleague, browse by occasion or range and read the card before it goes in the basket. There's plenty of gentler stuff too, and that's what we've picked out below. Standard cards cost £2.95 each, and the site also sells personalised cards, A4 cards, Christmas multipacks and small gifts with the same designs.

Current offers

  • Better Than Half Price Sale: selected cards are down to £1 or 50p from £2.95. For example, the Behind Every Great Mum card is currently 50p. Sale items marked as final sale can't be returned.
  • Newsletter discount: sign up on the homepage and you'll be emailed a code for 20% off your next order.
  • Free delivery: UK orders of £10 or more get free Royal Mail 2nd Class delivery. Under £10, postage is £1.50.
  • Random Card Pack of 10: ten cards picked for you for £5.99. You don't choose the designs, so it's best for people who are happy with anything in the range.

How to save more

  • Stock up on cards for the next few birthdays at once. Four cards at £2.95 takes you over £10, which gets you free postage.
  • Start with the sale section. It changes as designs are cleared, and at 50p to £1 a card it's handy for a birthday card drawer.
  • For Christmas, a 10-card multipack at £12.50 costs less per card than buying singles.

Orders placed by noon on a weekday are usually sent the same day. Unwanted items can be returned within 14 days in their original packaging for an exchange or refund.
