Maceoo is an American menswear label with a loud, confident style: patterned stretch dress shirts, sharp blazers, leather jackets, slim jeans and statement shoes. It sells online at maceoo.com and through boutiques in US resort venues, with its flagship in the Aria Resort in Las Vegas. If you like a shirt that gets noticed, or you are after something for a party, wedding or night out, it is worth a browse.

The brand says it was started by an engineer, Mehdi Raad, who wanted shirts that were comfortable as well as fitted, and that its cuts follow a sizing model he developed. Shirts run from S to 4XL and use stretch fabric, which suits anyone who finds standard dress shirts tight across the shoulders.

Before you fill a basket, note that the shop is priced in US dollars and ships from the US. Its returns policy says international customers pay their own shipping, duty and tax, and need to email the team for return instructions because prepaid labels are not issued abroad. Check the delivery charge and any import costs at checkout so you know the full price in pounds.

What's worth a look

• Dress shirts: the core of the range, with prints, stripes and graphic designs. The Fibonacci Pin-Up Blue Shirt is currently $198, and many others sit around $158 to $189 (prices can change).
• Blazers: unstructured Descartes blazers in black, blue, beige and brown are currently $488, while the Ascension Black Blazer is $548.
