SilverRush Style is a family-run online jeweller based in Wesley Chapel, Florida. It says it has been setting natural gemstones into .925 sterling silver since 2005, working with artisan partners in India, Thailand, Mexico and Poland. Each design is made as a single copy, so the piece you see is the one you get, and once it sells it's gone.

The shop suits people who like bold, statement jewellery with large coloured stones, and anyone hunting for a birthstone, zodiac or anniversary gift. You can browse by stone, colour, birthstone, star sign or price band, and product pages say whether a stone has been treated.

Prices are in US dollars. The site also shows very large "was" prices beside its selling prices, so it makes sense to judge each piece on the price you'd actually pay rather than the claimed saving.

The catalogue is large, with separate sections for pendants, rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and chains, and each can be filtered by gemstone. Many listings are big statement pieces with high carat weights, so read the size and weight details carefully. There's also an education section explaining where each stone comes from and how hard it is, which helps if you're choosing between, say, topaz and aquamarine for a gift.

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days for unworn, unaltered jewellery, but you pay the postage back to the US, so check ring sizes and measurements carefully first.
