Smugglers Crate is a subscription box company run by Star Wars fans, with warehouses in the UK and the US. Each crate is a surprise mix of figures, artwork, homeware and other collectibles, combining officially licensed products with items from independent makers. The site points out that it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company.

It suits collectors who enjoy an unboxing, and anyone stuck for a present for a Star Wars fan. Every crate can be bought as a one-off or on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly plan, and there are also boxes for anime, Harry Potter, Marvel and Pokemon fans.

The crates are pitched at different levels of commitment. The smaller editions work as a monthly treat, while the Collector's Edition and Ultra Crate are aimed at people building a display. Boxes can be sent as gifts on a one-off, monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis, and there's a corporate gifting option for businesses. Prices are shown in pounds for UK buyers, and the site can switch currency for overseas orders, which typically take 5-10 working days and may attract import charges.
