Vitamin Essence store spotlight: Hydrotine drink-mix sticks from VE

Shopping at Vitamin Essence (VE)? See all current Vitamin Essence (VE) discount codes and deals, checked regularly.

Vitamin Essence now trades as VE from its own site, and it has narrowed its range down to a single product line: Hydrotine. It is a flavoured powder that comes in single-serve sticks, which you tear open and mix into about 500ml of cold water. The label lists electrolytes, 3g of creatine monohydrate per stick, Pink Himalayan salt and added vitamins including vitamin C and B12, and VE describes the formula as vegan, caffeine-free and sweetened with stevia. It is sold as a food supplement.

The shop suits people who like the idea of a flavoured drink mix they can throw in a gym bag or a work locker, and who want to try a small pack before committing to a monthly supply. Prices are shown in pounds for UK buyers, and the shop also ships worldwide.

What's worth a look

• Hydrotine Taster Pack is the easiest place to start: 12 sticks, four each of Orange & Mango, Raspberry Lemonade and Pineapple Passion, currently £14.99.
• Hydrotine Orange & Mango is a 30-stick tub of one flavour, currently £29.99. The same price applies to the Raspberry Lemonade and Pineapple Passion tubs.
• Hydrotine, Our Tub Choice is a 30-stick tub in whichever flavour the VE team picks, currently £26.99. It is the cheapest way to buy a full tub if you are not fussy about flavour.
• Hydrotine Couple Pack bundles two 30-stick tubs in a flavour pairing of your choice, currently £52.99.
• VE Gift Card starts at £10, if you are buying for someone who already has a favourite flavour.

Current offers

• Our listing carries a new-customer code, FREETASTERPOR, for a free tub worth up to £17.99, where you pay only for UK delivery. The shop's range has changed recently, so check the discount shows in your basket before paying.
• Choosing the monthly subscription on a product page takes 10% off the single-flavour tubs (£26.99 instead of £29.99) and the taster pack (£13.49 instead of £14.99). Subscriptions auto-renew but can be skipped or cancelled.
• Our Tub Choice is £3 less than picking a single-flavour tub yourself.

How to save more

• Try the taster pack first. At £14.99 for 12 sticks it costs less than a full tub, and it tells you which flavour to order next time.
• If you settle on a regular order, compare the subscription price with the two-tub packs: two single tubs bought separately cost £59.98, while the Couple and Athlete packs are £52.99.
• Check the returns rules before you open anything. VE accepts returns of unused items in original packaging within 14 days of delivery, and you pay the return postage.

Speak to your GP or pharmacist if you have any concerns about your health.
