Yorkshire.com: walks, getaways and printed guides from the county's site

The former Welcome to Yorkshire website now combines a free county guide with cruise and holiday listings, a deals section and a small shop of printed books.

Yorkshire.com is the website that used to belong to Welcome to Yorkshire, the county's tourist board. After that organisation went into administration in 2022, the brand was bought by a group led by Leeds firm Silicon Dales, and it has been run as a commercial business, Yorkshire.com (International) Ltd, since September that year.

It is mainly a free guide: walking and cycling routes, places to stay, food and drink, events and guides to towns from Whitby to Sheffield. It also lists cruises and holidays, runs a deals and price-comparison section built from partner retailers, and sells a few printed books of its own. It suits Yorkshire residents looking for days out as well as visitors planning a trip.

What's worth a look

  • Yorkshire Recipe Book, currently £24.99. A printed collection of recipes submitted by members, made to order rather than held in stock.
  • Yorkshire Calendar, currently £14.99, printed from members' photographs of the county.
  • Yorkshire Guide, currently £9.99, a printed visitor guide.
  • Get Away cruises and holidays, which list no-fly sailings from Newcastle, Tilbury and Portsmouth. At the time of writing, Ambassador taster cruises start from £119 per person and a Fred Olsen mini cruise to Belgium from £419 per person, with direct flight routes from Leeds Bradford listed alongside.
  • Walks, a free library of routes with distances, timings and start points, such as a five-mile loop around the Ribblehead Viaduct.

The deals section gathers discount codes and offers from other retailers, and the site states that these come from affiliate partners and are not endorsements. The site may earn commission when you click through and buy.

Current offers

  • Membership is free and, according to the site, gives access to accommodation and attraction deals at up to 50% off, plus a weekly email every Thursday.
  • Members also get a discount on the recipe book, calendar and guide, applied at checkout in the shop. The amount isn't stated.

We don't have a separate discount code for Yorkshire.com at the moment.

How to save more

  • Sign up for the free membership before ordering from the shop, so the member discount is applied.
  • If you're thinking about a short cruise, compare the starting prices from different ports on the Get Away page, as the same type of trip can vary a lot by departure point and season.
  • Use the free walks and cycle routes to plan days out that cost nothing beyond travel.

For questions about the shop or membership, the team can be reached on 01904 891474, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Products, prices and offers checked on the store's own website on 4 Oct 2026. Prices and stock can change.
