Zepter was founded in Linz, Austria, in 1986 by businessman Philip Zepter and is now a Swiss-based group with factories in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and China. For decades it sold mainly through home demonstrations, and it is best known for its Masterpiece stainless steel cookware. Today it also sells kitchen appliances, knives, tableware, air and water purifiers, mattresses and skincare.

UK shoppers buy through Zepter's international online shop, which delivers to Britain by DPD or UPS. Prices are in euros, and because the UK is outside the EU, the price excludes VAT and import duties, which you pay to the courier on delivery. It suits people furnishing a kitchen who want matching, long-lasting pieces and don't mind waiting for delivery.

How to save more

• Register for ZepterClub before you buy. Member prices appear next to the retail price on each product page, so you can see the difference straight away.
• Work out the full cost in pounds before ordering. Add UK VAT at 20% and any import duty to the euro price, and remember your card provider may add a foreign transaction fee.
• Start with the promotions page if you only need a few pieces, as the biggest member discounts are on smaller tableware and bakeware items.
