BioBees is a small UK online shop with a deliberately short range. Everything it sells is built around royal jelly, the substance worker bees produce, sold as a food supplement in three different formats. If you already take royal jelly and want to compare formats and pack sizes in pounds, it is an easy site to get round: there are only a handful of products and the prices are clearly shown.
The shop also sells to Ireland, much of Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in local currencies, but the UK store prices in pounds. It is worth knowing that these are food supplements rather than medicines, and the site carries a disclaimer to that effect.
What's worth a look
- Fresh Royal Jelly Elixir: a box of ten 12ml drinkable vials, currently £34 a box. As well as royal jelly, the ingredients list includes Korean ginseng extract and guarana, so note the guarana if you watch your caffeine. Two boxes are £67.50 and three are £101.
- Fresh Royal Jelly Capsules: softgels that combine royal jelly with propolis and bee pollen. A 30-softgel pack is currently £52, and a 180-softgel pack is £225.
- Fresh Royal Jelly: the plain product in a jar, supplied with a BioBees spoon. A 25g jar is currently £59 and a 100g jar is £225.
- Ingredients guide: a page explaining the bee products used across the range, handy if you want to know what is in each format before you buy.

How to save more
- If you buy the same product every month, the 20% subscription discount is the biggest saving on the site, and it includes free shipping too.
- For one-off orders, aim for £50 or more in your basket so standard shipping is free. Two boxes of the elixir at £67.50 clears that threshold, as does a single 25g jar alongside a box of the elixir.
- Multi-box packs of the elixir are a little cheaper per box than buying single boxes.
Royal jelly and propolis are bee products, so they are not suitable for anyone with a bee product allergy. Speak to your GP or pharmacist if you have any concerns about your health.
