Clean Me is a UK marketplace that connects you with mobile car valeters and detailers who come to you. Instead of queuing at a car wash, you enter your postcode, compare the local operators, and book them to clean your car on your drive, on the street or in a car park at work. The company was set up in London in 2021 and now lists operators across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
It suits busy households, people without space or a hose to wash a car themselves, and anyone getting a car ready to sell. Clean Me does not set the prices: each operator sets their own, so you can weigh up cost, availability and reviews in your area before you book. Operators are vetted and insured, and you can leave a review after each job, which helps other customers choose. Same-day and next-day slots are often available, depending on where you live.
What's worth a look
- Mini valet: an inside-and-out clean for keeping a car tidy between deeper cleans. Prices are set by local operators and shown once you enter your postcode.
- Full valet: a longer, more thorough clean of the interior and exterior, useful after a muddy season or before selling. Again, the price depends on the operator you choose.
- Headlight restoration: for cloudy or yellowed headlight lenses, booked in the same way.
- Interior car cleaning: a deep clean of seats, carpets and trim, handy for family cars and pet owners.
- Carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning: available in selected areas, including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff.
Most operators bring their own water and power, and you can filter the results to show only those that do. You chat with your operator and track the booking in the Clean Me app, and if you need to move the appointment you can ask them to reschedule through the chat. Caravan and motorhome owners can book specialist cleans too.

How to save more
- Compare several operators after entering your postcode, as prices for the same service can differ, and read their recent reviews before choosing the cheapest.
- Alternate mini valets with the occasional full valet rather than booking the bigger job every time.
- Cancel or reschedule early: once an operator has accepted a booking, cancelling with 24 hours or less notice costs 25% of the price.
