Doctor Blooms is an independent hydroponics shop in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, selling indoor growing equipment online and from its own showroom. Set up in 2010, it stocks grow tents, LED grow lights, hydroponic and self-watering systems, propagators, nutrients, pumps and ventilation. It's a good fit if you want to grow herbs, salad leaves, chillies or tomatoes indoors all year, or you're upgrading an existing setup and want advice from people who use the kit themselves.

The showroom has working systems with live plants, from microgreens to a banana tree, so you can see how each method works before you buy. Staff will also order in items that aren't listed online.

What's worth a look

• Complete 315w Grow Tent Kit, currently £165. A ready-matched tent, light and ventilation bundle, which saves working out what fits together.
• AutoPot Easy2Propagate Complete Kit, currently £139.99, for raising seedlings and cuttings.
• EasyFeed 16L (4 to 100 pot), currently £154.99. An automatic watering setup that can feed anything from four pots upwards.
• AutoPot FlexiTank, currently from £27.49 in seven sizes. A collapsible water reservoir that packs away when you're not using it.

Prices can change, and some popular kits sell out, so check the product page for current stock. Beyond these, there are smaller everyday items too, such as fabric pots from £1.49 and seed trays, which make it easy to start small with a windowsill herb setup before investing in a tent.

Current offers

• Free standard delivery over £60 to mainland England and Wales. Extra large or very heavy items are excluded. Under £60, standard delivery is £4.50 and next working day is £6.99.
• Free collection from the Bishop's Stortford showroom. Arrange a time with the team first.
• Sale page reductions, including the Daylight 1030W LED PRO grow light at £1,049.95 (was £1,449.95) and the G.A.S. Enviro Controller V2 at £264.99 (was £344.95). There are also smaller savings on Grotek nutrients.

How to save more

• Combine consumables like nutrients, pots and pH solutions into one order to get over the £60 free delivery line rather than paying £4.50 each time.
• If you're within reach of Hertfordshire or Essex, collecting bulky items like tents and lights in person avoids delivery costs altogether.
• Starting out? A complete kit usually works out simpler than buying the tent, light and fan separately, and the staff can tell you which size suits your space.

The shop is open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 9.30am to 2pm, and you can call on 01279 501857.

Products, prices and offers checked on the store's own website on 4 Oct 2026. Prices and stock can change.
