Faretti makes elevator shoes: men's leather shoes with a lift built into the inside, so you gain somewhere between about 2 and 5 inches without it being obvious from the outside. The company is based in Nysa, Poland, and its UK site sells in pounds and ships by UPS. It suits anyone who'd like a bit of extra height for a wedding, a work event or everyday wear, and it isn't only aimed at shorter men.
You can browse by the amount of lift, from 1.97 inches up to 4.72 inches, or by style: dress shoes, wedding shoes, loafers, boots, casual shoes and trainers. The company says each pair is handmade from natural leather, and orders arrive in plain packaging with a neutral sender name on the label. Inside, each shoe comes in its own cotton bag, which is handy for storing them between occasions.
What's worth a look
- Rossi elevator shoes, +3.15 inches, currently £124.90. A smart dress shoe that sits at the lower end of the price range.
- Dario elevator shoes, +1.97 inches, currently £149.90. The smallest lift in the range, for anyone trying elevator shoes for the first time.
- Tomaso sport elevator shoes, +2.76 inches, currently £124.90. A trainer-style option to wear with jeans or casual clothes.
- Rolando elevator boots, +3.15 inches, currently £149.90, if you'd prefer a boot for autumn and winter.
Prices can change, and sizes in each model may sell out. If you're unsure how much lift you want, the site has a calculator showing your new height for each option, which is a quick way to narrow things down.

How to save more
- Get the size right first time by checking the size guide, which gives the foot length for each size. Faretti says your usual shoe size is normally right, and the team will advise on WhatsApp if you send your foot length.
- Try new shoes indoors on a carpet or rug only. Pairs that come back worn or scuffed may get a reduced refund.
- Check the checkout for import charges. Orders come from Poland, and the terms say any UK duty or import VAT is either collected at checkout or charged by the carrier.
