Geek Crate sends mystery boxes of fandom merchandise and collectibles. Instead of choosing individual items, you pick a theme and a box size, and a selection of figures, artwork, trading cards, clothing and accessories arrives in the post. The company says it has shipped more than 50,000 crates since starting in 2020.
It suits fans who enjoy a surprise, and it is handy for birthdays and Christmas when you know someone loves Star Wars or anime but not which figure they already own. Boxes can be bought once or as a monthly subscription that can be cancelled at any time, and Geek Crate says the contents are a mix of officially licensed products and items from independent makers.
What's worth a look

First boxes dispatch within one to three working days by Royal Mail, and later subscription boxes ship between the 15th and 22nd of each month. Subscriptions are billed on the 1st of the month.
How to save more
- If you plan to buy more than one box, a subscription is usually better value than repeat one-offs, and subscribers do not receive duplicate items.
- For a longer run, compare the 3-month and 6-month pre-pay deals against the ongoing 10% subscriber discount.
- Sign up to the newsletter before ordering so the extra 10% is ready to use.
