GreaterGood is a US shop and giving site that dates back to 1999. It's tied to The Hunger Site, the early click-to-donate website, and today it runs free ways to give, such as daily clicks, trivia and petitions, alongside an online shop. The site says its community has raised over $90 million for people, pets and the planet.

The shop is a good fit for animal lovers buying gifts. A lot of the range has paw prints on it, from slipper socks and pyjamas to rain jackets and garden lights, and there's a fair trade section with handmade jewellery, alpaca knitwear and wool throws made in Ukraine. Prices are in US dollars, including for UK shoppers. We couldn't confirm UK delivery costs or who pays import charges, so check the total at checkout before you pay.

Current offers

  • Extra 25% off select pet items with code BESTFORPETS, as shown on the RescueBox page. It's a limited-time offer, and where discounts overlap only the biggest one applies.
  • Purple Paw Deal Days: up to 65% off selected products for a limited time.
  • Alpaca Fingerless Mittens: buy two or more pairs and get $5 off each pair, taken off automatically at checkout. A single pair is currently $29.99.
  • GreaterGood Guardians members on the Angel ($15 a month) or Legend ($50 a month) tier get 10% or 15% off hundreds of products.

How to save more

  • Go through the Sale collections, which are split into Under $10, Under $25, Under $50 and Under $100.
  • Read the Special Offers box on each product page before you buy, as it's where multi-buy and code deals appear.
  • Only join Guardians if you'll use it. It's a monthly charitable payment, and the shop discount is just one of the extras. All tiers include free priority shipping when you sign up.

If you'd rather give without buying anything, the site's free Click To Give pages let you support causes such as pet food, habitat protection and literacy with a daily click, and its trivia games work the same way.
