Hoxton is an East London spirits brand created by bartender Gerry Calabrese, who grew up in a family of bartenders and ran London venues such as The Hoxton Pony. His aim was spirits that work in an easy serve, so you don't need a long cocktail recipe. The brand says each bottle is made with real fruit, with no artificial flavours, using copper pot stills.
It suits anyone who likes flavoured gin, wants a bottle to bring to a gathering, or is looking for a gift for a cocktail fan. Each product page suggests a simple serve and gives a couple of cocktail recipes.
All six bottles are 70cl and are designed to be mixed with tonic, soda or ginger ale rather than kept for complicated cocktails. The website also has a library of simple serves and cocktail videos. That's useful if you've bought a bottle as a gift and want to share some ideas for using it, or if you're planning drinks for a get-together at home.
What's worth a look
- Tropical Gin: coconut and grapefruit with juniper, 40% ABV, 70cl. Currently £35.99. The suggested serve is ginger ale with a slice of grapefruit.
- Pink Gin: rosehip and gunpowder tea, with rose, chamomile and elderflower among the botanicals. Currently £35.99.
- Dry Gin: led by grapefruit and juniper with a dry finish, currently £32.99.
- Banana Rum: made with fresh and dried banana, with caramel and vanilla notes, currently £43.45.
- London Spritz: morello cherry, berries and orange with a gently bitter finish, currently £28.95.

How to save more

Hoxton currently ships within the UK only, and its warehouse doesn't dispatch at weekends. So an order placed on a Friday afternoon will normally leave on Monday. If you have a question about an order, email the team. Messages sent at the weekend get a reply on the next working day.
