InterRose is an online rose service run by an independent high street florist in Lowestoft, Suffolk, which has been sending roses by post since 1999. It sells roses and nothing else: single stems, roses that fit through a letterbox, hand-tied bouquets from 4 up to 101 stems, boxes of fresh petals, and digital E-Roses sent by email. Colours go well beyond red, with black, Black Baccara, blue, gold, rainbow and a customised option. It suits anyone who wants to send a small gesture rather than a big arrangement, people whose recipient is often out, and last-minute senders who need something to arrive the same day by email. You can add your own card message to every order.

What's worth a look

  • Single Letterbox Red Rose, currently from £19.95. A single stem packed to fit through the letterbox, so nobody needs to be home. Most colours are the same price, with black, gold, blue and rainbow from £24.95.
  • 12 Red Roses, currently from £59.59. A hand-tied dozen of long-stemmed roses. White, pink, peach, lilac, yellow and orange dozens are the same price, while black and rainbow versions are from £78.79.
  • Red Rose Petals, currently from £34.95 for one box. Each box holds roughly 300 freshly plucked petals for decorating a table, a bed or a proposal, with multi-box options up to ten boxes.
  • Red E-Rose, currently £10. A designed digital rose with your message and an image, emailed anywhere in the world on the morning you choose.

Every order is prepared by the florist's own team in Lowestoft, and the site has guides to rose meanings and colours if you're not sure which to pick. InterRose is part of a small group of sister shops called Stream Street, which also sells hampers, balloons and mistletoe.
