Lets Buy Books is an online bookshop based in Leicester. It buys new books in bulk from UK publishers and distributors, including overstock and promotional editions, and sells them for much less than the cover price. It's a good fit for families stocking up on children's reading, anyone collecting a whole series in one go, and readers who like hardback classics without paying hardback prices.
You can browse by age (0-12), genre, non-fiction subject, young adult, school level (KS1 to A-level) and price band, from under £5 upwards. Box sets and collections have their own section, and the shop says it adds new arrivals every week.
Because much of the stock is overstock or promotional editions, the selection changes more than at a traditional bookshop. Popular sets can sell out, and new ones turn up regularly. The children's section is particularly broad, with picture books, early readers, chapter books and full series from authors like Julia Donaldson, Roald Dahl and David Walliams. Grown-up readers will find crime, romance, fantasy and historical fiction, cookbooks and self-help, plus decorative classics with sprayed edges or leather-look bindings. Most orders go out by Royal Mail Tracked 48 within a day or two, and you get a tracking link by email. It's an online-only shop, so there's no branch to visit, but the customer team answers emails within a day or two on weekdays. You can pay by card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
