SafeFort is an online safe shop run from London. It sells home and office safes, fireproof and data safes, floor and wall safes, key safes, gun cabinets and battery charging cabinets, from brands including Phoenix, Chubbsafes, Burton, Eurovault and Master Lock. It says every safe it stocks is independently certified.
The site lists prices including VAT, and the product pages give the details that matter when comparing safes: cash and valuables ratings, lock certification, internal volume and weight. If you're unsure which grade you need, the customer service team takes calls on weekdays from 9am to 5pm and offers advice before you buy.
The range runs from small safes for passports and jewellery to commercial units for shops and hotels, so it suits homeowners as well as small businesses. One useful feature is the cash rating filter, which lets you shop by the level of cover your insurer asks for, from up to £2,000 to over £60,000.

How to save more
- Buy the cash rating you need, not the biggest. Check your home insurance policy first; a higher grade adds a lot to the price.
- Compare lock options. On the Chubbsafes Homevault the key-lock versions are cheaper than the electronic ones in the same size.
- Plan the last few metres. Heavy safes come by pallet and are left at the kerbside, so get a quote for placement or installation upfront rather than paying for a second visit.
