Simply Hike is an online outdoor shop that has been selling walking, hiking and camping gear since 2006, with skiwear added in 2017. It once had a shop in Reading but now trades online from Alford in Lincolnshire. The range runs from walking boots and waterproofs to tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves, rucksacks and poles, from brands such as Salewa, Columbia, High Peak, Trangia, Keen, Gregory and Salomon.

It suits walkers and campers who want to kit out a trip in one order, and anyone happy to hunt through an outlet for a bargain. The site also has buying guides and advice videos on choosing tents, rucksacks and ski goggles.

Orders placed by 3pm on weekdays are usually sent the same day, and Saturday delivery is available for £15 if you need kit before a weekend away. Simply Hike also ships abroad, with Republic of Ireland rates from £6. Stock moves quickly and sizes can sell out, so it's worth checking availability on each product page. The customer care team answers calls on weekdays from 9am to 4pm.

• Returns must reach them within 14 days of dispatch, unworn and with tags, and you pay the postage. Check boot sizes carefully before ordering.
