SimplyLED is an online lighting shop founded in 2010 and run from Bradford, West Yorkshire, as part of the Lightbulbs Direct group. It sells LED light bulbs in almost every cap and shape, from GU10 spotlights and small bayonet candles to GLS, globes, tubes and smart bulbs, from brands including Crompton, Ledvance, Osram and Philips. It also stocks fire-rated downlights, ceiling and wall lights, outdoor and solar lighting, outdoor heaters and seasonal lights.

It suits anyone replacing old halogen or incandescent bulbs around the house, doing a kitchen or bathroom refit, or looking for garden and party lighting. Many product pages show estimated running costs and savings, which helps when comparing bulbs.

All LED products come with a 24-month warranty, and some branded bulbs carry longer manufacturer cover of four or five years. The site has buying guides on lumens, colour temperature and wattage, and a glossary of lighting terms. You can also phone the team on weekdays if you can't tell which fitting you need.

How to save more
