Tooled-Up.com has been selling tools online since 1996, and the business behind it, Lee Industrial, has been trading since 1976 from Brimsdown in Enfield. The range runs from screwdrivers and pliers to cordless power tools, pressure washers, lawnmowers, workshop storage and workwear, with brands such as Bosch, DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Einhell, Karcher, Gardena and Festool.

It suits DIYers, gardeners and tradespeople alike, and it's especially handy if you've already committed to one battery system, as the site lets you browse by platform, for example DeWalt XR or Einhell Power X-Change. If you live near north London, you can also visit the trade counter or use click and collect.

How to save more

• Check the Redemptions section before buying a cordless tool. Manufacturer claims for free batteries or accessories can add a lot of value, but you usually have to claim from the brand yourself.
• If you already own batteries, buy the bare tool rather than a kit. On the same model the difference is often a large part of the price.
• Have a look at the Clearance pages, and use click and collect from Enfield if you're close by. You pay in store when you pick up.
