Urban Bar USA is the American online shop of Urban Bar, a glassware and barware company based in Cambridgeshire. It ships from a warehouse in Montana and prices everything in US dollars. If you are in the UK, use the UK store at urbanbar.com instead; the US site's own shipping page sends UK buyers there, and the company explains that US prices include extra shipping and import duty costs. The US store makes sense for readers living in the United States, or for anyone buying a gift for someone there.
The business goes back to 1980, when Richard Andrews, a former buyer for Liberty and Heal's, began supplying branded glassware. The Urban Bar brand followed in 2001 and is now run by his son Nick. Much of its work is designing glasses and bar tools for drinks brands, bars and hotels, but it also sells to home cocktail makers. Ranges come in several finishes, including gold, copper and rose gold, and there are design collections named after the 1890s, 1910s and 1920s.

How to save more
- If you live in the UK, buy from the UK store rather than the US one. You will pay in pounds and avoid the extra transatlantic costs built into US prices.
- Plan one order of over $100 rather than several small ones, so you pay $10 for shipping instead of $25 each time.
- If you run a bar, restaurant or hotel, ask about a trade account, which comes with its own pricing and terms.
Unused items in their original packaging can be returned for an exchange or refund if you get in touch within 30 days, though return postage on non-faulty items is not refunded.
