Vivere London, which styles itself VI.VE.RE, is a London womenswear label that takes its name from the Italian verb meaning to live. The idea behind the collections is a wardrobe of pieces you can keep re-styling, such as merino knits, needlecord dresses, wide-leg jeans and belted coats, rather than buying new trends each season. Prices mostly run from about £95 to £335, so it suits shoppers who'd rather buy a few well-made pieces than lots of cheaper ones. As well as its own site, the label is sold in independent boutiques from Aberdeen to Exeter and through a few department stores.

• Sally Belted Coat – currently £335. The most expensive piece in the current range: a belted coat in a classic shape for layering over knitwear.

• If something doesn't fit, choose an exchange or store credit through the returns portal. UK exchanges are available, and you can then pick a different size or item.

Vivere London also ships worldwide from the UK, with duties paid, so international buyers don't face extra import fees on arrival.
