Weekend in Italy is run by Weekend a Firenze, a small travel company based in Prato, just outside Florence, which has been selling museum bookings online since the mid-1990s. The English-language site now lists more than 600 tickets, tours and experiences across Florence, Rome, Venice, Milan, Naples, Siena, Turin and Sicily.

It suits independent travellers who want to plan their own city break but would rather not stand in a long ticket queue on the day. You pick a date and a preferred time, pay by card, and the confirmation voucher arrives by email, usually one business day later. Prices are in euros and include Italian taxes, so a UK card will be charged in euros.

What's worth a look

Beyond tickets there are walking tours, coach trips into Chianti, cooking classes and wine tastings, plus a concierge service that can arrange private museum visits, transfers and meet-and-greet at the airport. A separate shop sells Italian food, wine, books and crafts.

Current offers

We don't have any discount codes for Weekend in Italy at the moment. The clearest saving on the site itself is in Siena, where the OPA SI PASS, currently from €21.09, covers the cathedral complex for half the cost of buying each admission separately.

The site also runs a free Weekend a Firenze Club, which sends news of new products and special offers by email.

How to save more

  • Look for combination tickets, such as the Last Supper and Brera pairing or the Siena pass, rather than booking each sight on its own.
  • Check the reduced and free categories on each ticket page. In Florence, under-18s go free and EU citizens aged 18 to 25 pay less, but you will need ID at the door.
  • Pay with a card that has no foreign transaction fee, as everything is charged in euros.

Bookings for many museums need at least a day's notice, and orders placed on Friday or over the weekend are confirmed on Monday afternoon, so leave a few days' margin before you travel.

Products, prices and offers checked on the store's own website on 4 Oct 2026. Prices and stock can change.
