About Weekend in Italy

Weekend in Italy is the English-language face of Weekend a Firenze, a small travel business based in Prato, just outside Florence. It started out selling advance tickets for Florentine museums and has grown into a catalogue of more than 600 services across Florence, Rome, Venice, Milan, Naples, Siena, Turin and Sicily.

Most people use it to book timed entry to busy sights such as the Uffizi, the Vatican Museums or Leonardo's Last Supper, so they can skip the ticket queue on the day. Alongside tickets there are walking tours, coach day trips into Tuscany, cooking classes, wine tastings and a concierge service for private visits and transfers. A separate online shop sells Italian food, wine, books and crafts.

Prices are shown in euros and include Italian taxes, so a UK card will be charged in euros. Bookings are requested online and confirmed by email, usually one business day later, with vouchers you either print or show at the venue. The museum sets the final entry time, which can differ from the time you asked for, and booking fees apply even on free-entry days.
