Whistleblowing policy
If you think something wrong is happening at Voucher Magpie, we want to know. You can tell us in confidence, or without giving your name.

Who can use this
Anyone: people who work with us at Voucher Magpie or Digital Gnome, freelancers, stores and affiliate networks, charities and clubs we raise money for, and shoppers.
What to report
- Fraud, theft or a crime, including bribery
- Money raised for a charity or club not reaching it, or being misused
- Personal data being mishandled, leaked or used in a way it shouldn't be
- Misleading shoppers, such as fake codes, savings or reviews
- Breaking the law, or a danger to someone's health and safety
- Anyone covering up any of the above
This isn't the place for a complaint about a code or a store: use our contact form for that. You don't need proof, just an honest belief that something's wrong.
Tell us
What happens next
- If you've given an email address, we'll confirm we've received your report within 5 working days.
- We'll look into it properly. If it's about someone involved in handling reports, someone else will deal with it.
- We'll keep your identity confidential, and only share it if the law requires us to. We'll tell you first if that happens.
- Where we can, we'll tell you what we did about it. Sometimes we can't give details, for example to protect other people's privacy.
You're protected
We won't tolerate anyone being treated badly for raising a concern in good faith, even if it turns out to be mistaken. If you're a worker, the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 protects you from being dismissed or treated unfairly for blowing the whistle.
Other places you can go
- Protect, the whistleblowing charity, gives free, confidential advice.
- You can report to an outside body, such as the Information Commissioner's Office (data protection) or the Charity Commission (charity money). The government publishes the full list of bodies you can report to.
