Questions
Does it cost me anything?
No. You pay the same price as anyone else, and you still get the discount. The donation comes from the commission the store pays us.
How much does my charity get?
50% of the commission we receive for your order. Stores usually pay between 2% and 10% of the order value, so on a £100 order the commission is typically £2 to £10, and your charity gets 50% of that.
When is the money paid?
Stores confirm commission once their returns window has passed, usually 30 to 90 days after you order. We pay confirmed amounts to each charity once a year.
What if I return my order or cancel it?
Then the store doesn't pay a commission on it, so there's nothing to donate. That's why we wait for the store to confirm each sale, after its returns window, before counting the donation.
How do you know which charity I picked?
We save your choice in a cookie on your device. When you click through to a store, we record the click against your charity and pass a reference to the store's affiliate network, so the commission can be matched back to it. We don't need your name or email.
What if a sale isn't tracked?
Ad blockers, private browsing or switching device can stop a store tracking your order, and then no commission is paid. Clicking through from Voucher Magpie just before you buy gives the best chance.
Voucher Magpie is run by Digital Gnome Ltd. We donate 50% of the commission we receive on purchases made through our links to the charity the shopper selected, after the store has confirmed the sale.
