About WWF-UK
WWF-UK is the UK arm of WWF, a global conservation organisation. It was founded in 1961 by a group that included Sir Peter Scott and Sir Julian Huxley.
It works to protect and restore nature, from individual species to forests, rivers, oceans and other habitats. It funds conservation projects in the UK and overseas, works with governments and businesses to reduce deforestation and make food and farming more sustainable, and promotes action on climate change. Projects include seagrass restoration in the UK and tiger conservation in Nepal.
