About Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support helps people living with cancer, along with their families, carers and communities. Its roots go back to 1911, when Douglas Macmillan set up a society to help people affected by cancer.
The charity offers information and emotional, practical and financial support, and works to improve cancer care across the UK. It supports a professional network of cancer nurses and specialists, runs a free Support Line and an online community, and campaigns on issues affecting people with cancer.
