About Age UK

Age UK is a charity that supports older people. It was created in 2009 when two charities for older people merged.

It gives free information and advice on topics such as benefits, money, care and health, and offers friendship services for people who feel lonely. Many of its services are delivered through a network of local Age UK organisations, which run activities such as day centres and befriending. It also campaigns and carries out research on issues affecting older people, and runs charity shops.
