About Marie Curie
Marie Curie is an end of life charity that cares for people with a terminal illness and supports their families and carers. It began in 1948 as a memorial to the scientist Marie Curie.
Its nurses care for people in their own homes, and it runs hospices that offer specialist palliative care. It also provides support over the phone, funds research into the best ways to care for dying people, and campaigns so that people can die in the place they choose. It works in all four UK nations.
