Code of conduct

The principles we work by, and what you can expect from us.

Last updated 8 October 2026

This code applies to everyone who works on Voucher Magpie, including the people at Digital Gnome and anyone writing or checking content for us.

Honest with shoppers

  • We only list codes and deals that come from the stores or their affiliate networks, and we say how we check them. See how we verify codes.
  • We never make up savings, prices, reviews or urgency ("only 2 left!").
  • We're clear that we earn commission from some links, and that it never changes your price. See our affiliate disclosure.
  • Stores can't pay to rank higher or to have bad news about them removed.

Fair to charities and clubs

  • We give 50% of our commission to the cause each shopper chooses, and we show what's been raised.
  • We don't claim to raise money for a charity unless we have its agreement to do so.
  • Money raised for a cause is paid to that cause, and not used for anything else.

Respect for your data

  • We collect as little as we can, never sell personal data, and follow UK data protection law. See our privacy policy.
  • We look after the data we hold, and we're working towards ISO 27001. See security.
  • Our newsletters only go to people who've signed up, and every email we send has a one-click way to stop.

Doing business properly

  • No bribery. We don't offer, give or accept bribes, kickbacks or gifts meant to influence a decision, in line with the Bribery Act 2010.
  • Conflicts of interest. Anyone working on Voucher Magpie tells us if they have a personal interest in a store, network or cause we write about, and stays out of decisions about it.
  • Fair competition. We compete on the quality of what we publish, and we don't copy other sites' content.
  • Honest content. We use tools, including AI, to help research and write. A person is responsible for everything we publish, and facts and prices are checked against the store's own website.

Treating people well

  • We treat everyone we deal with fairly and with respect, whatever their age, disability, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation or background.
  • We don't tolerate harassment or bullying.
  • We build the site to be usable by everyone. See our accessibility statement.

If something's wrong

If you think we've fallen short of this code, tell us through our contact form. If it's about wrongdoing and you'd rather raise it in confidence, or without giving your name, use our whistleblowing policy.
