PlayStation Store is Sony Interactive Entertainment's own digital shop for PlayStation consoles. It opened in November 2006 alongside the PS3, and today it sells downloadable PS5 and PS4 games, add-ons, in-game currency and PlayStation Plus memberships. You can browse it on the web at store.playstation.com, on a console, or through the PlayStation App on your phone, and anything you buy is added to your account library, ready to download.
The UK store prices everything in pounds. New first-party releases such as Ghost of Yōtei and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach are listed at £69.99, and older hits are often cheaper: The Last of Us Part II Remastered is £44.99. PlayStation Plus comes in three tiers. Essential (£59.99 a year) adds online multiplayer and monthly games to claim, Extra (£99.99) adds the Game Catalogue, and Premium (£119.99) adds cloud streaming, game trials and classics. Monthly and three-month plans are also offered.
The store runs regular themed sales, and PS Plus members get extra member-only discounts. Under the UK cancellation policy you can cancel a game within 14 days for a refund as long as you haven't started downloading or streaming it, and you can cancel a new subscription within 14 days.
