How it works
- Start here before you buyWhen you're about to buy something online, find the shop on Voucher Magpie first. We list 320 UK shops, from big names to small independents.
- Click through and shop as normalClick "Get deal" or "Get code" and the shop opens. Buy what you were going to buy, at the same price. If there's a discount code, we show it so you save as well.
- Shelter gets a donationThe shop pays us a small thank-you (a commission) for sending you. We give half of it to Shelter.

Good to know
Does it cost me anything?
No. You pay the shop's normal price, or less if there's a discount code. The donation comes out of the commission the shop pays us, not your pocket.
I've never used voucher codes. Do I have to?
No. Plenty of shops have no code at all, and that's fine: clicking through from Voucher Magpie is what counts. When there is a code, we copy it for you and you paste it in the "discount code" box at the shop's checkout.
How much does Shelter get?
Half of what the shop pays us. Shops usually pay 2% to 10% of what you spend, so a £100 order typically earns £2 to £10, and Shelter gets half of that. It adds up when lots of people do it.
When does the money reach them?
Shops confirm the commission once their returns period has passed, usually 30 to 90 days after you buy. We pay confirmed donations once a year.
