Caerleon RFC Under 9s

About Caerleon RFC Under 9s

Caerleon RFC Under 9s is one of the age groups in the minis and juniors section of Caerleon Rugby Football Club, a Welsh rugby union club in Caerleon, on the northern outskirts of Newport.

This season is a big one for the team: it's their first season of contact rugby. After learning the game through tag rugby, the players are now learning to tackle, ruck and play contact matches safely, with their volunteer coaches and the support of their parents.

The club started in the 1970–71 season and has grown into a big community club, with senior First XV and Second XV sides, a youth team, and mini and junior teams at most age groups. Its minis and juniors section is well established in the Dragons region, with WRU-registered coaches and referees.
