About Oxfam GB
Oxfam GB is a charity that works to end poverty by tackling inequality and injustice. It was established in Oxford in 1942 and is part of the Oxfam International confederation.
It combines emergency humanitarian aid with long-term development work and campaigning. In emergencies it provides clean water, sanitation and other essentials, and it supports communities to build better livelihoods over time. It campaigns on issues such as inequality, climate and women's rights, and funds its work partly through a network of second-hand shops.
