Beyond Shakers is a small Staffordshire brand that has been making stainless steel protein shakers since 2018. The idea is simple: a metal shaker does not soak up the sour smell that plastic ones pick up after a few weeks of post-gym shakes. If you train regularly, take a shake to work, or just want a sturdy insulated bottle for the commute, it is worth a look.
The range is small and focused. Alongside the shakers you will find insulated water and sports bottles, gym towels, lifting straps and a few accessories, with everything shipped from its unit in Hixon, near Stafford.
What's worth a look
- Brushed Steel Protein Shaker - the original. It holds 735ml, has double-wall insulation, measuring marks inside and a steel whisk ball. Currently £19.99, and there are plenty of colours at a similar price.
- Brushed Steel & Black Twist Shaker - the newer Twist range has a sculpted grip, a screw-top lid with a removable seal for easier cleaning, and a fold-away handle. Currently £24.99.
- Pro Series Brushed Steel - has a silicone base so it is less likely to slide off a bench, a silicone bung in the lid and a clip that stops the whisk ball rattling. Currently £24.99, down from £30.
- Light & Dark Blue Bottle - a 1 litre insulated steel water bottle with a wide neck for cleaning. Beyond says it keeps drinks hot or cold for up to 12 hours, and it comes in a gift box. Currently £24.99.
- Black Lifting Straps - thick cotton webbing straps with neoprene wrist pads for deadlifts and pulling exercises. Currently £6.50, down from £10.
