Doulton has been making ceramic water filters since the 1800s and still makes them in Staffordshire. Its website sells the full range direct: under sink systems that feed a separate drinking-water tap, countertop units, British Berkefeld stainless steel gravity filters that need no plumbing, filter bottles, shower heads and every replacement cartridge you're likely to need. It suits households that want filtered water at home without a jug in the fridge, renters who can't fit a new tap, and anyone who already owns a Doulton or British Berkefeld system and needs spares.
What's worth a look
- Doulton Kingfisher Under Sink Water Filter System with Biotect Ultra, currently £254.95. Doulton's main under sink system, giving filtered water from its own kitchen tap.
- British Berkefeld Stainless Steel Gravity System with Ultra Sterasyl filters, currently from £124.95. It sits on the worktop and filters by gravity, so there's nothing to install.
- Doulton Water Filter Bottle 790ml, currently £49.95, with a 580ml version at £39.95.

How to save more
- If you already own a system, set up a filter subscription. It's 20% off each cartridge with free delivery, and Doulton says it won't discount filters by more than subscribers save.
- Join Doulton Rewards. You earn points on orders (guest checkouts count too) and can redeem them against later purchases. Only one reward code can be used per order.
