Magzter is a digital newsstand: instead of buying printed copies, you read magazines and newspapers on your phone, tablet or computer. You can buy a single issue, subscribe to one title for 3, 6 or 12 months, or take out Magzter GOLD, an all-you-can-read plan covering more than 10,000 titles. It suits commuters, travellers and anyone who reads a handful of magazines and wants them all in one place.

The company was founded in 2011, is based in New York, and has been owned by VerSe Innovation since 2024. Its catalogue is international, so alongside UK titles you will find American, European and Asian magazines and newspapers, which is handy if you live abroad or want to keep up with news from home.

Magzter blocks automated visits, so we looked at archived copies of its own pages. Prices there are shown in the visitor's local currency, so the dollar figures below are a guide and UK visitors will see pound prices.

What's worth a look

  • Magzter GOLD: unlimited access to 10,000+ magazines plus premium stories and newspapers, with downloads for offline reading. It was listed at $14.99 a month after the free trial when we checked an archived copy of its site (March 2026).
  • The Economist: one of the UK titles available as single issues or a subscription; the price is shown when you choose an issue or term.
  • Time: the US news weekly, with back issues you can browse; prices are shown at checkout.
  • The Wall Street Journal: one of several international newspapers on the platform, alongside titles such as the Los Angeles Times and Bangkok Post.

Current offers

We don't have any Magzter codes listed at the moment. On its own site, Magzter offers these:

  • 7-day free trial of Magzter GOLD: read without limits for a week. The plan renews automatically afterwards unless you cancel.
  • Half-price annual GOLD: when we checked an archived copy of its site (August 2026), the yearly plan was shown at $74.99 instead of $149.99 for US-dollar visitors. Check the current pound price on the site.
  • App-only offers: Magzter says some offers and features are only available in its iOS and Android apps.

How to save more

  • Check the catalogue during the trial. Titles included in GOLD carry a small gold icon, so make sure your regular reads are covered before the trial ends.
  • Do the maths. If you only read one or two magazines, a single-title subscription may cost less than GOLD; if you read four or five, GOLD usually makes more sense.
  • Use the refund window. Magzter advertises a 7-day no-questions-asked refund policy, which gives you a short safety net if a purchase isn't right.
