NordPass is a password manager made by Nord Security, the company behind NordVPN. It launched in 2019 and keeps your passwords, passkeys, payment cards and secure notes in one encrypted vault, then fills them in when you log in to websites and apps. There are apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS, along with browser extensions, and everything syncs between them.

Your data is encrypted on your own device before it leaves it, so NordPass describes the service as zero-knowledge: the company cannot read what you store. It suits anyone still reusing the same few passwords, households that want to share logins safely, and small businesses that need to manage staff access to shared accounts.

• NordPass Free: currently £0. You get unlimited password storage, automatic syncing across devices, autosave and autofill, and NordPass says the free plan will stay free.
• NordPass Premium: adds secure password sharing, Password Health checks for weak or reused passwords, the Data Breach Scanner and switching between devices without logging in again. NordPass's own plans page has listed Premium from €1.23 a month on a long plan; check the plans page for the current price in pounds, as prices can change.
• NordPass Family: six separate encrypted vaults, each with all the Premium features, so everyone in the household keeps their own logins private while sharing the ones you choose.
• NordPass for business: Teams, Business and Enterprise plans for organisations, for teams that need to share company logins between staff. Business plans have their own 14-day money-back guarantee.

Recent additions include passkey support, which lets you sign in to supporting sites without a password, and email masking, which gives websites a stand-in address instead of your real one to cut down on spam.
