ShopTo.net is an online games shop that has built its name on pre-orders and fast dispatch. It sells games, consoles and accessories for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC, along with VR kit, gaming chairs, board games, trading cards and digital codes and gift cards for the big console stores. The company describes itself as based in Bracknell, Berkshire, and it's a good fit if you like to order new releases in advance or want to compare console prices.

The site is organised by platform, with pages for coming soon, just added, out this week and out next month, so it's easy to see what's on the way. There are also sale sections such as Just Reduced, Under £10 and Under £20. Many big-ticket items, including consoles, can be bought with PayPal Credit or Klarna if you'd rather spread the cost, though as with any credit you should check the terms first.

• Free tracked delivery over £70: UK mainland orders over £70 placed before 3pm on a weekday get free tracked next-business-day delivery. Some postcodes and large items may carry a courier charge.
• Release Date or Compensate: if a qualifying pre-order sent by a tracked method arrives after release day, you can claim a £5 store voucher through live chat, with proof from Royal Mail tracking.
• Membership discounts: spend £100 or more over 365 days to reach Silver and get 1% off at checkout, or £250 for Gold and 2% off.

How to save more

• Pre-orders aren't charged until the item is dispatched, so you can reserve a new release early without paying upfront. Order by 12pm two days before release, with tracking, to qualify for the £5 compensation scheme.
• Bundle a game with accessories or a gift card to reach £70 and skip the delivery charge.
• Keep an eye on the Under £10 and Under £20 sections for older titles at lower prices.
