Trending Custom is an online shop for personalised gifts. You choose a design, add names, dates, a message or a photo of your pet, and the site shows a preview of your custom product before you order. It started in 2019 and lists addresses in San Francisco, Vancouver and Singapore. Most of its customers are in North America, but it ships to the UK too, along with Canada, Australia and most EU countries.

It suits anyone looking for a keepsake gift for a birthday, anniversary, new baby, Christmas or a pet lover. Prices can be shown in pounds, but every order is charged in US dollars, and parcels may need to clear customs on the way in, which can add time and possibly extra charges.

Free standard shipping is offered on some US orders over $70, but it doesn't apply to UK deliveries. Shipping to the UK is worked out at checkout, based on where the parcel is going and how much it weighs, so add everything to your basket first to see the full cost.

If something arrives damaged, faulty or different from the preview, the shop says it will send a replacement or refund within 30 days of delivery. You don't need to send the item back, but you will need to email photos or a short video showing the problem along with your order number.

How to save more

• Bundle your gifts. Ordering two or more items unlocks the TRC10 code and spreads the cost of international shipping.
• Order early for Christmas. Each item has a production time of a few days before it ships, and international parcels can take longer at busy times.
