AATU is a pet food brand from Inspired Pet Nutrition, based near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Its recipes are grain free and lead with a single named meat or fish, topped up with a mix of fruit, vegetables, herbs and botanicals. The online shop currently focuses on dog food, in dry bags and wet tins, and sends orders by DPD with next-day delivery to most of mainland Great Britain. It suits owners who want a meat-led dry food without going fully raw, and anyone who'd rather have big bags delivered than carry them home from the shops. If your dog has a medical condition or a special diet, talk to your vet before changing food.
What's worth a look
- Free Run Chicken Dry Dog Food: currently from £21.99 for 1.5kg, £54.99 for 5kg and £88.43 for 10kg (down from £93.99). This is the 80/20 recipe, with chicken as the only animal protein, so it's a straightforward place to start if you're new to the brand.
- Wet Variety Ultimate Multi Pack: currently £18.99 for six 400g tins. A mixed pack is a sensible way to find out which flavours your dog will eat before buying 12 or 18 of one kind.
- Angus Beef Wet Dog Food: currently from £19.50 for six tins, or £34 for 12 (down from £37). The wet recipes are 90/10, and work as a meal on their own or as a topper for dry food.
- Salmon Dry Puppy Food: currently from £23.99 for 1.5kg. A salmon-based dry food made for growing puppies, also sold in 5kg bags.
- Puppy Pack: currently £131, down from £163.98. It bundles two 5kg bags of the salmon puppy food with 18 tins of Duck and Turkey wet food, which should cover a new puppy for a good while.
