Fidelis makes dog food and treats and sells them direct to UK owners. Its best-known range is the Fresh Menu: steam-cooked meals in 400g glass jars that keep in the cupboard, so there's no freezer space to find. There's also air-dried food, natural chews, mini training bones, burger bites and dental chewing sticks. The UK side is run from Glasgow, and the brand says it feeds more than 100,000 dogs across the UK and Europe. It suits owners who want to try cooked food without moving to raw feeding, and anyone who goes through a lot of training treats.
What's worth a look
- Fresh Menu Mixed Selection Pack is currently £24.99 for six 400g jars, with 12 and 18-jar packs at £49.79 and £72.99. It includes six recipes, among them pork with buckwheat, rabbit with brown rice and salmon with sweet potato. It's the obvious starting point if you're not sure which flavours your dog will like.
- Air Dried Salmon Menu is currently £24.99 for 1kg, with 2.5kg and 5kg bags at £59.99 and £114.99. It's a dry-style food for owners who want something easier to store and serve than jars, or a fish-based option for dogs who prefer it.
- Mini Chicken Training Bones are currently £3.99 for 100g, or £19.49 for five bags. They're small, soft meat treats made with 95% chicken, handy for pocket-sized rewards on walks and during puppy training.
- Vital Chewing Sticks Beef with Salmon Oil are currently £6.49 for 150g. They're cowhide-and-beef chews with wild salmon oil, giving a dog something to work on after dinner.
