Fitness Options is an independent fitness equipment specialist that opened in 1989. It used to run a big showroom, but these days it sells mainly online and visits customers to help plan home and company gyms. It suits anyone setting up a serious home gym, or a business kitting out a staff gym, who'd like advice from a team that employs its own installation engineers.

The range covers treadmills, exercise bikes, cross trainers, rowers, multi-gyms, benches, racks and free weights, plus boxing kit. Brands include WaterRower, NordicTrack, Schwinn, Horizon, Bowflex, Spirit and Inspire, and there's also a separate range of Dyaco Medical rehabilitation machines. For businesses, the team offers a gym design service with 2D and 3D visuals so you can see how a room will look before you buy.

What's worth a look

Prices can change. Some products may need a deposit if new stock won't arrive within 7 to 10 working days, and the team agrees a delivery date before taking payment for online orders. Because the company uses its own engineers, it can also handle installation and servicing after you've bought.

Current offers

  • Reduced cardio machines. Lots of treadmills, bikes and rowers show a lower price against the original, including the Schwinn, Horizon and Half Human machines above and the Future T440 folding treadmill at £749 (was £899).
  • Free delivery to England and Wales. Delivery is free unless a product says otherwise. Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands carry a surcharge, so phone for a quote.
  • Klarna instalments. You can spread the cost through Klarna at checkout.

We didn't find any discount codes on Fitness Options' own site.

How to save more

  • Compare models across brands within the same category. The struck-through prices vary a lot, from around £100 off to several hundred pounds.
  • Ask for an installation price before you order. Installation is quoted separately and isn't refundable, so check whether you need it at all.
  • Keep the original packaging. If you return a large machine within 14 days, you pay to send it back, and sending it without the box can cost a lot more.
