Gardenista is a Birmingham business that makes outdoor cushions and covers for gardens and patios, and says its team cuts and sews them in the city. The range includes replacement cushions for rattan sets, pallet seating, benches, chairs, swing seats and loungers, along with printed scatter cushions, waterproof covers, gazebo curtains and a few extras like portable bonfires. It's a good fit if your garden furniture is still sturdy but the cushions have faded or flattened, or if you want to put things away properly before winter. The shop also says some of its fibre filling is made from recycled plastic bottles, and foam offcuts are shredded to fill its tufted cushions.
What's worth a look
- The Water-Resistant Rattan Furniture Cushions for California sofa sets start from £39.99 for a two-piece set, with four and six-piece sets also listed. They're sized as replacements for California-style rattan furniture and come in several colours, so you can refresh a set without replacing the frame.
- The Crakl Bonfire is currently £19.99, down from £25.99. It's a tin of four wax-infused coals made with soy wax that the listing says burns for up to four hours. It suits autumn evenings on the patio when a full fire pit would be too much.
- The Heavy Duty Waterproof Rectangular Garden Table Cover is currently from £29.99, in three sizes up to 242 x 162cm. It has buckle loops to hold it in place, which makes sense for anyone leaving a dining set outside over winter.
- The Moroccan cushions collection has water-resistant printed scatter cushions in patterns such as Tangiers. The Tangiers printed scatter cushions start from £12.99 for one, and multipacks bring the price per cushion down.
- If standard sizes don't fit, the made-to-measure cushion builder lets you design cushions for your own furniture. Bear in mind that custom orders have separate delivery and returns terms.
