John Lewis is the UK department store known for fashion, home, beauty, electricals and childrenswear under one roof. It offers a two-year guarantee on electricals, plus Click & Collect through its own shops and Waitrose. It suits shoppers who value service and returns as much as price, people furnishing a home, and anyone starting their Christmas shopping early.

- John Lewis Beauty Advent Calendar: currently £250. John Lewis says the contents are worth £1,160. It's a big outlay, so it suits someone who would otherwise buy several of the included brands across the year, or a group splitting a gift.
- Hotel Chocolat Advent Calendar, Milk Chocolate (125g): currently £14. A simpler, cheaper countdown option for chocolate fans.
- Hot Wheels 2026 Advent Calendar: currently £20. It's flagged as price matched on the site and is a good fit for young car fans.
- Roberts Revere 100 Sound System: currently £249.99. A new all-in-one DAB+/FM and Bluetooth music system. The Revere 300 (currently £399.99) adds a CD player and remote, for anyone who still has a disc collection.
If you're buying a fragrance-led gift, the Molton Brown Decadent Delights Advent Calendar is currently £225 and the Jo Malone London Christmas Kist Advent Calendar is currently £375. John Lewis lists more than 100 advent calendars in total, priced from £6 to £375, so there's a wide spread beyond these picks.

- A £5 e-gift card for new My John Lewis members who spend £50.
- Free standard delivery on orders of £50 or more, and free Click & Collect on orders over £40.
- Free returns within 30 days, with Christmas returns extended until 23 January 2027.
- The offers page also lists brand promotions, including 20% off Dermalogica, 15% off Medik8, 20% off Mint Velvet and up to 50% off Reiss. It also has an up to £300 e-gift card when you buy selected tech.
How to save more
- Join My John Lewis before you shop. It's free, and it's what unlocks the Members' Week tiers and the £5 e-gift card for new members.
- Plan around the thresholds. Basket totals just under £150 or £500 may be worth topping up with something you'd buy anyway to reach the next Members' Week tier. Orders of £40 or more qualify for free Click & Collect.
- Buying gifts early is less risky than usual this year, because the extended returns window runs until 23 January 2027.
