Five Star Direct is a small British online shop selling gadgets meant to solve everyday problems: losing your keys, keeping an eye on the house, or printing a quick label. It was set up in 2023, and co-founder Robyn adds a short "Robyn's Review" to each product page. It suits people looking for practical, low-cost gifts or handy bits for the home and car, and anyone who'd rather ring a UK freephone number than chase an overseas seller.
What's worth a look
- Five Star Direct Mini Tracker: currently £19.99 (prices can change). A 4cm square tracker that pairs with the Find My app on iPhone or Android. You can tuck it into a bag, attach it to keys, a pet's collar or luggage, and get alerts if it moves out of range. There are multi-packs too: two for £29.99 and four for £49.99.
- Fingerprint Padlock: currently £12.99. A weather-resistant zinc alloy padlock that opens with a fingerprint, stores two prints and charges by USB. It's handy for gym lockers, sheds, suitcases or a bike, and it means there's no key or combination to forget.
- Smart Home Camera: currently £39.99. A Wi-Fi camera with a wide-angle lens, infrared night vision, two-way talk and motion alerts to your phone. It can record to a memory card, and you can link several cameras to one phone to watch more than one room.
- Zoom Monocular: currently £29.99. A pocket monocular for birdwatching, walks and sports that can also clip onto your phone to take zoomed photos. An extra tripod and phone holder costs £9.99 if you want a steadier shot.
- Mini Printer: currently £19.99. A pocket printer that connects to your phone by Bluetooth and prints photos, labels, stickers and gift tags without ink. It's useful for labelling jars, school kit or Christmas presents. Refill paper costs £5.99 for five rolls.
