magazine.co.uk is a UK subscription website that has been selling magazines and newspapers on behalf of publishers since 2010. It's run by Jellyfish Connect Ltd, the London company behind the Pocketmags digital newsstand, and it works with most of the big UK publishers. That means you can browse women's and men's lifestyle titles, home and garden, food, motoring, science, news, children's magazines and plenty of specialist hobbies in one place.

It suits anyone who wants a regular read posted to the door, and it's handy for gifts: you can buy a gift subscription for a specific title, or a physical or e-gift card so the recipient can pick their own. Every subscription price includes delivery. magazine.co.uk passes your order to the publisher, who then sends the issues, so a first issue usually takes two to six weeks for a monthly title.

What's worth a look

  • Red: the women's lifestyle monthly has a trial of six issues for £6 with print and digital access, or 12 issues for £29.99. Prices can change.
  • The Week: the weekly news digest currently has a six-issue trial at £0, either print only or print and digital. A full 52-issue print subscription is currently £194.
  • National Geographic: listed at six issues for £33. As an international title, the first issue can take eight to twelve weeks to arrive, so order early if it's a present.
  • Autumn offers: a seasonal page with titles such as Good Housekeeping and Country Living at six issues for £6, The Oldie at three issues for £3 and Good Food at 12 issues for £41.99.
  • Magazines with free gifts: a round-up of subscriptions that come with a gift from the publisher. Gifts are posted separately and can take up to six weeks.

Current offers

  • The Week: six issues for £0 as a print trial.
  • Red: six issues for £6 (print and digital).
  • A free £10 M&S gift card with a one-year Red subscription paid by Direct Debit, while stocks last.
  • The Oldie: three issues for £3.
  • Delivery is included in every subscription price.

How to save more

  • Use a trial first. Many titles start at a few pounds for the first few issues, which is a cheap way to see whether you'll keep reading.
  • Browse the sale offers, which are split into £1, £3 and £5 trials and bands of savings against the cover price.
  • If you want a free gift, check its terms. Some are only for one-year Direct Debit subscriptions and are limited to one per household.

One thing to know: you can cancel through magazine.co.uk within seven working days, as long as the order hasn't already gone to the publisher. After that, the publisher's own cancellation rules apply, and the publisher deals with missing issues and address changes.
