Currys is an electrical retailer with shops across the UK and Ireland. The business began in 1884 as a bicycle maker and moved into household electricals from the 1960s. It became part of Dixons in 1984, and the Currys PC World stores were renamed simply Currys in 2021. It is owned by Currys plc, which also runs iD Mobile in the UK and trades as Elkjøp in the Nordic countries.
Currys sells TVs, computers, phones, gaming and large and small household appliances. It also sells services around these products, including delivery and installation, aftercare plans, repairs through Currys Care & Repair, and credit through Currys flexpay.
Currys has almost 300 stores nationwide, so most orders can be collected in store, often on the day you order. Small items ordered online come with free delivery on orders over £40. Its Price Promise matches cheaper prices from other UK retailers, including for seven days after you buy.
| Delivery | Small items ship free on orders over £40 and cost £3.99 below that, with standard delivery in 3-5 working days, Monday to Friday. |
|---|---|
| Returns | Items bought online can be returned within 30 days, even if opened for inspection, as long as they are in like-new, resaleable condition. |
| Click & collect | Click & Collect is free, and you can often collect on the same day you order from almost 300 stores. |
| Student discount | Students can save an extra 10% on selected items, including up to £150 off selected laptops. |
| Blue Light & NHS | Blue Light Card members get Currys discount codes (latest listed: up to £100 off selected Windows laptops) and up to 5.5% off Currys Shopping Cards via their Blue Light Card account. |
| Key workers | Currys says it does not currently offer a discount for NHS staff. |
| Armed Forces | Listed on the Defence Discount Service (official MOD scheme) as 'Save at Currys'; members see the discount after signing in. |
| Price match | Currys matches lower prices from other UK retailers, online or in store, and refunds the difference if you find the same item cheaper within 7 days of buying; staff, student and NHS-only prices are excluded. |
| Loyalty scheme | Currys Perks is a free membership that sends member-only discounts and offers by email. |
| Ways to pay | Accepts Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express cards and PayPal, with credit available through Currys flexpay. |

Usually not: most stores, including Currys, accept one discount code per order. Automatic deals and sale prices can often be combined with a code, so check the terms on each offer.
Most codes exclude gift cards and items already reduced, and some need a minimum spend or are for new customers only. Open Terms on the code, or tap "Didn't work?" and we'll recheck it.
Tap Get code and we copy it for you. Add your items to the basket on the Currys website, then paste the code into the discount or promo code box at checkout.
